  • Participated in the writing of the chapter two ("Preparation of Graphene", from Page 33 to 103) of the book entitled “Graphene from Basics to Applications
    ——Chemical Industry Press, edited by Yunqi Liu et al., published in 2017
    According to the recent research progress, this book presents a comprehensive overview of graphene from rationale to applications, including its basic concepts, theories, and principles. Hereinto, preparation methods, growth mechanisms, condensed matter structures, and graphene chemistry are described in detail. The emphasis of this book is put on electrical, optical and magnetic properties of graphene. Subsequently, the prospects and challenges of graphene in composite materials, energy materials, and industrial applications are systematically introduced. This book can be used as reference for senior undergraduates, postgraduates, and institute researchers in the fields of chemistry, materials, physics, and information.

  • Translated the book entitled "Graphene: Fundamentals and Emergent Applications" (460,000 words)
    ——Science Press, translated by LAN, published in 2015
    Graphene is an ideal two-dimensional atomic crystal composed of monolayer carbon atoms, which has broad application prospects in the novel electronic devices, such as nanoelectronic devices, integrated circuits, flexible electronic devices, and ultra-sensitive sensors. This book covers the structure, physicochemical properties, preparation techniques, characterization methods and potential applications of graphene. This book can be used as an introductory book for researchers working on graphene research, especially for beginners. The entire translation process of the book was far more difficult than what they expected. However, all members of the laboratory exert themselves to accomplish this task. As the saying goes "there are many starters and few finishers", the translation work can be successfully completed.

  • Invitited to express “The inheritance and innovation of chemistry” (Page 180 to 186)
    ——Science China Press, edited by The Chinese Chemical Society, Published in 2013
    The book is aimed to commemorate the establishment of the chemistry prize of the youth for 30 years. The winners of the chemistry prize of the youth set a good example for young chemists. This book has included the speeches of 48 winners during the period from the year of establishment to 2012, where we can appreciate the growth process of a generation of chemical people. Also, we can learn the contribution of scientific research and innovation by these prize-winners as well as the enlightenment, experience and realization from practice. In addition, expectations and messages to the young scholars are included in this book.

  • Invited to publish ''The Spirit and Style of the Teachers and Students" (Page 92 to 108)

    ——Press of University of Science and Technology of China, edited by Zhenzhong Yang, published in 2012

    This book is designed to enhance communication between tutors and students and provide new ideas for teaching, which can further improve the quality of education in the Institute of Chemistry. Based on the experience of Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, the book is supposed to describe lessons from training students. The whole content is divided into two parts. The former for tutors  records the experience, achievements, lessons in graduation education over years. The latter for students describes school life in Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, providing useful suggestions for students.

  • Participated in the writing of the seventh chapter ("Molecular Devices", from Page 347 to 374) of the book entitled “Advances in Function Material

    ——Chemical Industry Press, edited by Daoben Zhu et al., published in 2005

    Molecular devices are ordered structures assembled by single or few functional  molecules with optical, electrical, ionic, magnetic, thermal, mechanical, and chemical-reactive characters. They are physicochemical systems, which can realize detection, conversion, transmission, storage, and of information and energy at the molecular level. In short, molecular devices are ultramicroscopic devices with specific function. They are the development direction of microelectronics in the future as well as the inevitable choice induced by the size limit of silicon-based integrated circuits. At present, relative researches have become hot topics in the field of chemistry and material science, aiming at appling them in molecular information storage devices, analog photosynthesis and nanoelectronics. However, researches are still at an early stage. More efforts need to be done on reliability, repeatability, integration, computing speed, cost and so on.

  • Participated in the writing of the seciton ("Molecular Electronics", Page 68 to 71) of the book entitled "Scientific Development Report in 2003"

    On December 21, 2001, "Science" (American journal) voted on top tem progress of all sciences in 2001. Among them, "Molecular get wired" stood out, which literally means "connecting molecules". It marks the beginning of molecular electronics researches from molecular materials and devices and then turning into molecular circuits. Molecular electronics use single molecules in information processing devices and demonstrate the corresponding mechanisms, the research level of which include molecular materials, molecular devices, molecular circuits, and molecular computers. Molecular materials are organic or biological materials applied to make new information and microelectronic components. Molecular devices are ordered structures composed of molecular materials, which can realize information processing. Molecular circuits connect indicidual molecular device for logical operation. The long-term goal is to achieve molecular computers. This book focuses on molecular electronics and briefly introduces advances of molecular devices.
